A elementary piano duet (one piano; four hands)

Don’t Be Afraid is another delightful piano duet for elementary students. This spooky little number quotes Beethoven’s opening motive from his Fifth Symphony – don’t be afraid! Both parts share the motive which is woven around an original melody.  Ideal Halloween and general recital ensemble.

What a great duet for early level students – all black keys, staggered entry and simple rhythm – no eighth notes. Kids feel such a sense of accomplishment – and think they’re playing ‘Beethoven’!
